Wellsboro's "Dickens of a Christmas" celebration for 1999 had
warm weather, but no matter how cold it might have been, we still
would have been out there to enjoy it.

Visit us every year on the first Saturday in December.
Wear your Victorian-era costume or demonstrate your skill at a
period activity.
Streets in our downtown area are closed to traffic so
you can take a wagon ride...
...browse dozens of interesting displays
by sidewalk vendors...
...listen to some lively music by roving
performers...
...listen to some songs by young carolers...
...be impressed by the diversity and enthusiastic
styles of our local musicians...
...enjoy a steak sandwich, pumpkin funnelcakes,
fresh roasted almonds, popcorn and a variety of other
special foods.
The Dickens of a Christmas celebration brings people out from
throughout Tioga County and far away states. Most of the local hotels
will be booked months in advance.
